Healing on the streets is a simple and gentle way to bring God's love and compassion
into our City. Whatever the weather, the teams place chairs on the pavement or frontage,
and invite people to come and sit on the chairs if they would like to receive prayer.
This is primarily prayer for healing but we are glad to pray for any of the many
needs and burdens people carry.
There are a number of teams across Birmingham, each one led by a particular Church
but many involving other Churches or individuals working with them. Each team member
has been trained with 'Healing on the Streets' and is welcomed to join in any team.
Easter 2005 was the beginning of a growing movement
when Mark Marx went out onto the streets of Coleraine
with a team from Causeway Coast Vineyard to launch
the first Healing on the Streets ministry. Today over 100 teams go out across Great
Britain and a growing number in Europe, North and South America, Africa and South
